The key theme of the collection is to consider the kitchen, dining room and living room as one operating space; a cube.

The 12 first house models have been launched in the new Close collection. The key theme of the collection is to consider the kitchen, dining room and living room as one operating space; a cube.

We vary different options of three bedrooms and washrooms around the space that forms a cube. The collection’s model with the smallest surface area is the compact Naava 98 and the largest model is the Saari 179.

Some of the Close models have already been delivered to customers with personalised alterations. The houses have mainly been built on urban plots. For example, the log house Kantola, presented in the video above, is a version of the Close collection’s Sulka model.

With the collection, we wish to bring out the opportunities that changes can offer: for example, the effect a roof type has on the appearance of the house or how the floor plans can be altered without having to change the outer profile of the house.

Comments on the Close Collection

“While I’m cooking dinner here at the kitchen island, I can be face-to-face with my children who are doing their homework at the dining table, and call out to my partner who is taking 5-minute naps on the sofa. It’s going to be lovely in this home, as everyone has space to do their own chores, but at the same time everyone is Close. The windows are lovely and open, and the indoors is flooded by the light and nature from the backyard.”
